Automate a Restaurant Storage, Lever, and Collection
Pull the lever, empty crates, serve plates, and keep the till moving.
Planting is only half of Automate a Restaurant. The other half is collection: pull the lever, empty storage, pick up finished food, put plates out for customers, and collect money so you can buy the next seed or backyard cell. This guide is for the Roblox incremental sim from m_experiment (released May 25, 2026) when your farm looks busy but the kitchen still feels broke.
Use the official place—Automate a Restaurant—not a similarly named restaurant tycoon. Collection UIs do not transfer between games.
The collection loop
A healthy session repeats this circuit:
- Harvest or let drones harvest ripe beds (Farm Crops, Unlock Drones).
- Pull the lever when the farm or machine bank is ready to release a batch into storage.
- Collect storage so crates do not sit at cap while plants finish.
- Collect food from cook stations or output plates.
- Put food for customers on the serve surface they actually use.
- Collect money from the till or drop piles before you open the shop.
Skip a step and the next one pretends to be the bottleneck. Full storage looks like “crops are broken.” Uncollected money looks like “the shop is too expensive.” Walk the circuit once before you buy another upgrade.
What the lever is for
The lever is a release control, not a decoration. Pulling it moves a finished batch from the production side of the farm into storage or the next machine. If you never pull it, harvests pile up in a hidden buffer and beds look idle even though you planted correctly.
Habits that help:
- Pull after a full harvest lap, not after every single plant.
- In co-op, assign one lever person so two players do not fight the prompt.
- After a Roblox client update, re-test the prompt—see Mid-August 2026 Snapshot.
Storage caps are silent killers
Storage fills faster than new players expect. When it is full, harvests have nowhere to go, seed upgrades look useless, and backyard cells feel like a waste. Empty storage before you expand land (Backyard Cells).
If your bag is also full, you have two caps. Clear the bag into crates, then clear crates into the cook line. Farm Crops covers bag discipline; this page is the crate and lever layer.
Food on the counter, not in your hands
Customers pay for food that reaches the serve point. Carrying plates while you shop for seeds drops tickets. After you collect food, put it out immediately, then collect money, then buy. The order matters more than speed.
Serve drones exist so you can stop babysitting this step. Unlock them when the counter is the pile you hate most (Drone Priority).
Shop after you collect, not before
A common mid-game mistake is opening upgrades while money is still sitting on the floor. Collect first, then:
- Restock cheap seeds (Seeds and Beds).
- Buy a cell only if beds are full.
- Skip unaffordable upgrades instead of standing on the button.
The Expansion Checklist is a short session sheet for this order.
Co-op collection roles
With up to about 10 players in one restaurant, collection is where groups collide. Suggested split:
- Player A: lever + storage
- Player B: food to customers
- Player C: money + shop (seeds and cells only)
- Everyone else: plant, experiment, or drone babysitting
Do not give three people the shop. Co-op Shared Restaurant explains why.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Why is my farm planted but I have no food?
Pull the lever and collect storage. Harvests often sit in a buffer until you release and empty crates.
What does the lever do in Automate a Restaurant?
It releases a finished farm or machine batch into storage or the next station. Treat it as a required step, not flavor.
Should I collect money or restock seeds first?
Collect money first, then restock cheap seeds, then consider a backyard cell. Buying before you collect hides how much cash you actually have.
Can a script auto-collect storage for me?
Circulating auto-farm hubs advertise that feature. They violate Roblox rules and can ban the account. Prefer serve and harvest drones.
